Operations Manager – Pest Control
We are looking for the right person to manage our specialized pest control company in Lake of the Woods located in Kenora Ontario. We work outdoors everyday and enjoy meeting new people! Our goal is to keep the pests at bay while keeping the eco-system in balance. Our products and services are special, and we need special people to be a part of our team! Although the work is seasonal, there is great opportunity for utilizing our business to find new opportunities in the off season. An Energetic individual with positive and upbeat personality is desired! There is a real possibility for future ownership for the right person. We are on water and land! Lake of the Woods has over 14,000 islands and 100,000 kms of shoreline.
Salary: $70,000 / annually plus bonuses based on performance goals and company sales.

Work Description – Manage daily business activities and the many facets of our on-site pest management programs, based on budget and provide reporting to senior management.
- Represent our company like its your own.
- Run day to day operations, licensing, scheduling, shop and equipment maintenance, administration
- Follow budgets and report financially to the CEO on a monthly basis.
- Project revenue based on City and territory within northwestern Ontario and South Eastern Manitoba.
- Balance client work schedule with teams on boat and trucks.
- Establish and maintain positive and honest relationships with our prized assets… our clients and our team.
- Be professional because every client is our reference to our next client.
- Understand and are able to oversee all documentation on and off site so we maintain the highest standards for our business, government, and our reputation.
- Follow procedures and make them better with “lessons learned” meetings/ follow up communication.
- Be able to work alone sometimes and still get the job done.
Duties:
- Maintain and build employee team based on revenue.
- Build on company policies with quarterly evaluations of on-going sitework/shop/administration.
- Provide pest control services as an experienced and licensed handler to our clients
- Provide existing training to each employee and build techniques via additional training with existing employees.
- Maintain the work Schedule and strive to meet and communicate appointment changes and details with all clients.
- Assist in on-site procedures such as, site analysis, documentation of plans, brooming and pressuring washing exterior structures, site preparation, and site clean up.
- Attend weekly meetings and bring ideas and feedback on “lessons learned” approaches to new and amended procedures and policies.
- Ensure all safety and PPE training and use is in place with monthly employee reminders.
- Assist in documenting and executing site plans of action including hazards, safety procedures and safe use policies.
- Document on-site project completion forms and manage client paperwork.
Requirements:
- Must currently live in Kenora, ON or are ready to relocate.
- Supervisor or managerial experience 2 years or more.
- Hold current Pest Control License for Structural and Biting Flies in Ontario.
- Past experience in pest control and currently hold an Ontario pesticide license.
- Any knowledge or past experience in the pest control industry is truly an asset but is not a requirement.
- Dependability is extremely important.
- Physically able to climb ladders, use pressure washers, and carry loads up to 40 lbs.
- Valid Driver’s Licence and clean driving record (abstract will be requested after initial interview)
Job Type: Full Time Seasonal workload (April 15th through to September 30th) planning and off-season work, throughout fall/winter will increase salary based on experience of individual and ability to control scheduling and costs if working year-round.
Three references from previous work-related managers or superiors are required. References will be evaluated and held high on scale for decision to hire.
